About Our Breeding Program

Welcome to the Heads Or Tails French Bulldog family!

I, hobby breeder and French Bulldog enthusiast, Taylor Wutrick, was raised in a small, rural town in southeastern Ohio. There, my family has spent years multibreed raising & whelping! With nearly 55 years of experience in raising high quality dogs, the generational breeding was ingrained in me from the getgo, it became my sole inspiration, and the ultimate reason for pursuing this lifelong passion of mine.

I produce healthy french bulldogs in which they are both: physically & behaviorally stable. With that said, my mission stepping into this new light as a premier breeder of top quality is to produce puppies with...

- variety in colors & markings.

- quality genetic confirmation through parentage, including that of the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) CHIC Certification & Health Testing, with a four-panel minimum of screening for Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts (JHC), Canine Multifocal Retinopathy Type 1 (CMR1), and Hyperuricosuria (HUU). Please note that the CHIC Certification & Health Testing can only be performed on parents over 24 months of age. Preliminary screening for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia can be conducted as early as 4 months old for the purpose of breeding selection per OFA's policy.

- Genetic Testing: All parents: sires (fathers) and dams (mothers), have testing clearances for genetic health conditions relevant to the French Bulldog breed.

- agreeable temperament/demeanor/manner.

- three-year genetic health guarantee.

- AKC registration.

One thing that is of high importance to me as a dog breeder is that I strive to well-socialize them on a daily basis. Beyond quality and health of my dogs, I believe in the importance of well socialization. By the time your puppy is ready to go to its 'fur'ever home, it will be well acquainted to children and other pets. What differentiates me from other breeders is the quality of my breeding selections and the confirmation of the French Bulldogs selected for breeding. Each dam (mother) and sire (father) are strategically selected for breeding because of health, size, disposition, color, and confirmation, in which no corners were cut to produce the best French Bulldog that could be developed.

Every litter is in a sterile nursery/whelping cottage to ensure healthy pups, without the concern for parasites or diseases that can develop in unsanitary conditions. My puppies are handled, weighed, and nursed for the first few weeks of life. House/potty training from 5 weeks of age to placement is started with all litters. This process begins with litter pan training, then outdoor potty training. Our puppies go to their 'fur'ever homes with all necessary vaccinations, an up-to-date de-worming & vaccination regime record, and much more (than what is required legally as a breeder, for raising puppies).

All of these measures are taken to create a happy environment for the puppies and to reduce stress. This goal has been my top priority since day one of my breeding.

Here, at Heads Or Tails French Bulldogs, we believe in treating our dogs (and owners) like family. This gives our customers satisfaction knowing that when they leave with one of our puppies - they have with a new family member for life!
